Venue Hire
Winchelsea Community House offers a number of rooms for hire. Internet access, videoconferencing facilities, and coffee/tea facilities on request. Flexible table and seating options. Projector + screen available.
Winchelsea Shire Hall
In a former life, this magnificent historic building was the centre of the Winchelsea Shire. Now it is a large and fabulous community space complete with kitchen (including commercial dishwasher and commercial coffee machine).
The Helen Verity Room
Named after a long-serving and dedicated supporter of the House. Large carpeted room with its own aircon, big TV (videoconferencing option), electronic whiteboard with projector, mobile whiteboards, flexible easy-store tables.
The Star Room
So named because the Winchelsea Star used to be printed here. Small-ish bright & light room in a separate building. Row of desktop computers, built-in desk, mini-kitchen, aircon, lino floor. Mobile TV and/or whiteboard available.
Winchelsea Shire Hall
A grand and historic building with a renovated interior. Main hall and rear room that can be partitioned off, carpeted throughout, plenty of natural light. An impressive space for meetings!

- 60 chairs on trolleys
- Big TV mounted on a mobile and motorised stand (raise or lower to suit), with internet
- Optional projector for larger display on the walls or a screen
- Internet service available
- Window blinds
- Effective air conditioning
Dividers are available if desired, although they are not noise-proof or particularly sturdy.
A public address system is available if desired, including wired & wireless microphones, loudspeakers, and inputs control centre.

The Helen Verity Room
A reasonably large carpetted room within the community centre building, with plenty of natural light.

- Optional projector for larger displays
- Independent air conditioning
- Guest wifi
The Helen Verity Room is multi-purpose and particularly suited to meetings needing audio-visual facilities.
A laptop with separate webcam is available for easy setup for video-conferencing.
Winch House can also provide an online ‘meeting room’ if needed, no software needed by participants.

The Star Room
A separate but adjoining building alongside the main community centre.

- Window curtains (not particularly light-proof)
- Kitchenette with small fridge, hot water
- Lino floor
The Star Room is great if you might make a bit of noise, or for computer classes & technology education. Also good if you want a floor that is quick and easy to clean (but nothing that might stain, obviously).
