We started the year with reasonable numbers despite the availability of free Kinder. We’ve had a fairly steady stream of new families enquiring about places for their children. We’ve been able to fill most of them (a lot have been under 3). We are still filling spots and continue to receive new enquiries. As the year has progressed our new children have become more comfortable at Occ Care and are settling in nicely.
Our Christmas raffle managed to raise $635 and the Bunnings fundraiser $2636. This money has been put to good use purchasing a new cot, hose and fittings as well as upgrading toys and other play equipment.
We’ve engaged in various art activities with the children throughout the year including Mother’s Day and Father’s Day projects, the children love to participate and the parents enjoy receiving their special gifts. Making play dough is an ongoing favourite. As well as interactive storytime and singing with movements.
Our policies are in the process of being updated and are almost completed. Much thanks to Colleen and Wendy who have done the majority of this.
Sheryl our volunteer has been an ongoing presence at Occ Care which is always very appreciated.
We have also been able to rely on Harry should anything big or small need fixing as well as knowing our lawn was being nicely maintained.
Your continued support is very much appreciated, thankyou
