Our group continues to focus on providing a monthly network opportunity in the form of dinners, Xmas events for both community and children and administering our local Facebook site to support members and each other in knowing where they live.
Our FFOTM (first Friday of the month) Group held social dinners every month at varying local restaurants. The dinners continue to play an important role in developing and maintaining a connected and supportive community with 10 new families to the area attending.
Our group continues to support the local community children’s Xmas event by providing sweets for Santa to hand out as the Wurdale Fire Brigade (WFB) truck travelled around the local area.
Planning underway to support a similar event with WFB for 2024 Xmas Eve and our local community Xmas party at the Wurdale Hall. Consideration is being given to an additional event to celebrate Wurdale Hall’s 100-year birthday.
